Everything changes, even the Nevers.
Hope for today…

I think we’ve all said, “That will never be me!” Only to discover that we meet ourselves in that me we thought we’d never be.

Change happens to us all in ways we can hardly even imagine. It’s how we meet these changes that define us, not our circumstances. When you are faced with something so overwhelming that you find your nevers have become part of your life it’s important not to let it affect your ups and downs. Change can cause a profound feeling of overwhelm, or it can lead to cultivating a special kind of unshakable wisdom and perseverance where you will get to enjoy the experience of knowing what you are made of and who you truly are.

I used to dream of eternal winter until I felt and experienced the bliss of change!

As much as we need stability in our lives, we also need change. Whether we like it or not, change really is the only constant in life. Nothing in life stays the same. And the process of change isn’t something that takes place overnight. We don’t suddenly wake up as new people, but instead, we change over time. Slowly, our opinions, visions, tastes, feelings, values, interests all change to incorporate the experiences we have had in life. Rather than some sort of betrayal, this is merely a process of becoming who we are, always adapting––a cycle, a pattern, a stream.

Look at how beautiful autumn leaves are, yet as much as we love them, we wait impatiently for daisies and green grass!

As much as some might see autumn leaves as sad, and as much as I see them as romantic, beautiful, and full of joy the change of seasons can give  us hope during times of change.

So today, take some time to walk around your neighborhood and embrace the fact that this season is beautiful and it will pass. Just like all our seasons––the ones we love and the ones that challenge us. Learn from nature and how it allows. If nature were stubborn and held on to its own way, we wouldn’t have four seasons!

If Mother Nature changes, what are you waiting for? Embrace her wisdom.

I believe that we can find hope in our continuous change––

Everything changes, even the nevers…

I have never walked across a whole dessert…and found so much pure water…
I have never visited a temple…and discovered my prayers were so much stronger than my wishes…
I have never counted the stars anxiously at night…and arrived at a satisfying number…
I have never been so freezing cold…and felt warm by only looking at a small candle …
I have never been so deadly thirsty…and got quenched at the sight of a gorgeous fountain…
I have never attended the wedding of penguins…and seen how bonds can be monogamous…
I have never been to nature’s carnival of sunset …and not felt optimistic…
I have never walked out on pearls and diamonds…and was so delighted to keep a more precious word instead…
I have never written so emotionally… and wished that my next word will be sweeter than the one before…
I have never looked at a face …and not understood what innocent beauty is all about…
I have never not known that everything changes…even the nevers…
